Financial Reporting Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client in Westford, MA is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join a growing finance team within a public company environment. Summary: This role offers hands-on exposure to external reporting, SEC filings, and cross-functional collaboration with accounting, legal, and leadership teams. The role will be hybrid in the Westford, MA area, at least 3 days onsite. • Support preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, earnings-related filings, and other required reports
• Coordinate inputs and supporting schedules across accounting, legal, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and review financial statement footnotes and disclosure support
• Perform tie-outs of financial statements and disclosures to underlying support and source systems
• Manage internal and external review comments, including legal, audit, and senior management feedback
• Assist with financial tables and tie-outs for the annual proxy statement
• Support quarterly and year-end audits, SOX testing, and walkthroughs
• Monitor new accounting standards and assist with implementation and disclosure requirements
• Prepare monthly revenue and receivable analyses to support management reporting
• Provide backup support for month-end close and consolidation activities
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• Master's degree and/or CPA preferred
• 1-3 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
• Public company and/or public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; SEC reporting exposure a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
