BIM Modeler

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a BIM Modeler in Austin, TX. Overview: We are seeking a BIM Modeler with hands-on drafting and modeling experience supporting telecommunications and low-voltage systems. This role focuses on production modeling and construction documentation and is not a BIM Coordinator position. The BIM Modeler will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project teams throughout design and construction phases to reduce rework and help deliver projects on schedule. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop BIM models and construction documents in coordination with architects and multiple engineering disciplines across all project phases
  
  

Perform detailed drafting and modeling for low-voltage and telecommunications systems, including:

• Data/voice structured cabling
• Audiovisual and conferencing systems
• Wireless systems (including Wi-Fi)
• Public safety distribution systems
• Access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems
• Utilize Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for model creation, coordination, and clash detection
• Support BIM coordination efforts by maintaining accurate, high-quality models that minimize rework
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and construction partners to support project execution
• Manage multiple modeling assignments simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines
• Work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
• Provide modeling support to local projects and assist teams on projects across the organization
• Apply strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to resolve design and coordination challenges
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2-5 years of relevant experience as a BIM Modeler/Drafter supporting telecommunications or electrical systems
• 2-5 years of hands-on drafting/modeling experience in one or more low-voltage systems listed above
  
  

Fluency in Autodesk CAD tools, including:

• Revit (required)
• AutoCAD (required)
• Navisworks (required)
• Solid understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and workflows
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Revizto
• Prior experience supporting construction-phase BIM deliverables
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
