About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team. This role ensures the comfort and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors by maintaining optimal building climate conditions and refrigeration systems. This position is full time with a schedule of 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and service HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Utilize Worx-Hub software for work orders and scheduled tasks.
- Manage contracted projects and ensure quality results.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain inventory of HVAC parts and equipment.
- Support teamwork and collaborate with peers for positive outcomes.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of comprehensive HVAC experience.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Familiarity with residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Understanding of BAS software programs (willingness to learn).
- Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
- EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under company policy.
- Must have own transportation and hand tools.
- Ability to follow and give written and oral instructions.
- Strong judgment, self-motivation, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Physical Demands
- Ability to climb, walk long distances, and lift/push/pull weights from 60 lbs up to 125 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Good overall conditions; occasional work in confined spaces.
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, extreme temperatures, chemicals, and high-voltage systems.
