Summary:
- Learning, assisting, and performing basic facility-building, mechanical, piping, HVAC, electrical and control systems tasks under supervision.
- Assist MII and MIII mechanics with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
- Replace filters on HVAC systems
- Lubricate motors, bearings, and moving parts
- Minor plumbing (e.g., replacing faucet washers, plunging toilets)
- Minor electrical (e.g., Changing light bulbs, minor fixture repairs, breaker resets)
- Use of basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Daily inspection rounds (under supervision)
- Basic documentation of maintenance tasks
- Minor carpentry and painting
- Keeps mechanical rooms clean & clutter free.
- Snow removal / rock salting
- Classroom set ups. Cleans & maintains outside drains of leaves, snow & other debris for the proper operation & adequate drainage.
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns/ flooding, fire response team, major leaks, etc.
- Performs grounds-related functions as may be required for the purpose of preserving grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition.
- Other minor troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs which match skillsets based on the “On-The Job” (OJT) training progression.
- Driver's License (Required)
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- 0-1 years HVAC experience (Preferred)
