Title: Computer Support (Infrastructure Engineer)
Pay Rate: $27 per hour
Location: Ankeny, Iowa
Duration: 12 months plus (Possibility of extension)
Type – W2 contract (No C2C)

NOTES:
1st shift (6am – 3:30pm with flex start am) with minimal overtime
50% desk work and 50% shop floor
Possible use of client Gator to get around the facility
Metatarsals are required on the first day
Business casual dress code
Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
This team supports the Paton, Ames, and Clarion locations in addition to their home base in Ankeny. There is a possibility the candidate may need to drive to those locations (up to an hour away), frequency is up to monthly.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Operational IT support for the Des Moines Works factory in Ankeny including two off-site warehouses, a test lab in Ames, IA, and the client Paton factory in Paton, IA. Position involves a mix of break/fix and project work dealing with computers, printers, scan guns, and network equipment. Examples of work include: configuring/deploying computers, scanners, and printers. Replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated assets, troubleshooting and resolving computer related issues using ServiceNow queues.
- Responsible for effective e-mail communications and ability to create and maintain basic
- records such as asset management
- Responsible for recognizing problems with processes/operations and either resolving with established solutions or reporting to others those problems that fall outside the scope of this team.
- Maintains equipment, supplies, and data supporting processes or procedures
- Applies technical knowledge in support of improving processes or operations
- Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals
Job Requirements:
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
- Knowledge of computer security policies and a general overall knowledge of computer security concepts
- 1 year or more IT experience preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered
Education Requirements:
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - High School or secondary diploma or equivalent
