Position Summary
Kelly Services is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our client’s team in Troy, Michigan. This is a new part-time position (20 hours per week) where you will directly report to the Accounting Manager in Italy. You will be responsible for the application of accounting and financial procedures as directed by management. This role includes managing administrative accounting tasks up to the preparation of financial statements, which will be handled by external consultants.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform accounting entries, including bills, bank transactions, and purchase invoices
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor customer and supplier aging’s
- Prepare payments and manage accounts payables and receivables balances
- Handle the preparation of tax and social declarations
- Classify and archive accounting documents for future reference
- Communicate regularly with the accounting department in Italy via Teams and phone
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds an accounting or finance Degree (preferred)
- Has 3-4 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Automotive industry experience is highly preferred, particularly in manufacturing or production
- Proficient in SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a small office setting (2-3 people)
- Comfortable working remotely with a team in Italy, handling communication across time zones (6 hours ahead)
- Salary: $25-30 per hour
