Shift: Mon-Fri / 7:30am-5pm
$80,000-$100,000 annually (based on experience)
We are seeking a strong leader to manage day-to-day operations at our NY Shop. This position is focused on managing people, workflow, productivity, and shop efficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team, prioritize repairs, manage time effectively, and keep work moving through the shop efficiently.
Technical knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance is helpful, but this role is primarily focused on leadership, organization, accountability, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage daily shop operations and technician workflow
· Prioritize incoming repairs and coordinate schedules effectively
· Manage employee productivity, accountability, and attendance
· Help implement and improve SRT (Standard Repair Times)
· Review jobs and ensure repairs are progressing efficiently
· Work closely with operations and dispatch to minimize downtime
· Build a positive, structured, and productive shop environment
· Coach and develop technicians and shop employees
· Ensure work orders are completed and closed in a timely manner
· Maintain communication with drivers, vendors, and leadership
· Monitor shop efficiency and identify areas for improvement
· Ensure safety and DOT/CSA compliance standards are maintained

Qualifications
· Strong leadership and people-management skills
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Experience managing employees, workflow, or operations preferred
· Truck/trailer maintenance knowledge is helpful but not required
· Ability to make decisions and keep workflow moving efficiently
· Experience with productivity tracking or SRT systems is a plus

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
