Director – Data Platform Alliances
Location: Hybrid — near major U.S. consulting hubs (Midwest / Northeast / West Coast)
Overview
A globally respected consulting and analytics firm is seeking a Director – Data Platform Alliances to help build and scale strategic partnerships across the rapidly evolving data and AI ecosystem.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in builder environments and wants to play a central role in shaping how a consulting organization engages with technology partners to drive growth, improve delivery capabilities, and expand client impact.
The function is well supported but still evolving, creating a unique opportunity to influence strategy, operating model, and long-term alliance value creation.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and strengthen strategic relationships with key data platform partners (e.g., cloud data, analytics, and AI ecosystem providers).
- Help shift alliance engagement from reactive, deal-by-deal collaboration to a more proactive, account-driven growth approach.
- Partner closely with consulting leaders and client account teams to identify expansion opportunities and develop joint go-to-market strategies.
- Improve alliance operating rhythm, including governance, reporting, deal registration, account mapping, and partner engagement processes.
- Contribute directly to pipeline development and long-term revenue growth tied to partner-enabled solutions.
- Build credibility across internal stakeholder groups and help drive adoption of alliance-supported delivery models.
- Lead and mentor a small alliances team while remaining highly hands-on in execution.
Ideal Background
- Proven experience leading or managing technology alliances, strategic partnerships, or ecosystem relationships.
- Experience working within a consulting/services organization or at a software company that collaborates closely with systems integrators or consulting partners.
- Familiarity with data platform, analytics, or AI partner ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Track record improving alliance processes, scaling engagement models, or expanding partner-driven pipeline.
- Prior people leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Exposure to complex enterprise industries such as healthcare, life sciences, financial services, or technology is helpful.

Compensation
- Base salary approximately $200K–$220K bonus
- Possible salary flexibility for the right candidate
