Senior Staff Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a privately held technology company who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to take true ownership of the core general ledger function, working closely with the Controller in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Own

• Daily reconciliation of all bank accounts to the GL, with same-day resolution of variances
• Monthly schedules, amortization, and accrual cycles
• Full sub-ledger ownership: additions, disposals, depreciation, and GL reconciliation
• Assigned reconciliations, with reconciling items investigated and resolved
• Adjustments, reconciliation, and variance/trend analysis
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis supporting contract compliance requirements
• Monthly variance commentary against prior period and budget
• Preparation of schedules and serving as a key point of contact during interim and year-end audits
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills and sharp analytical instincts
• High accuracy, strong organization, and the discipline to consistently hit close deadlines
