Senior Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a rapidly growing, privately held organization in the Milford, NH area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounting and finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, improving processes, and leveraging technology to create efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, along with an interest in using AI and automation tools to streamline accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support accounts payable, payroll accounting, and other operational accounting functions.
• Assist with job costing, expense analysis, and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Leverage AI, automation, and reporting tools to enhance accounting workflows.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, journal entry, and account reconciliation experience.
• Experience with accounts payable and payroll accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Interest or experience in leveraging AI and automation to improve accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a growing organization.
