Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze standard costs, inventory balances, and variances (material, labor, and overhead), providing insight into key cost drivers and operational performance
- Support monthly close activities, including inventory reconciliations, reserve analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules for financial reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with operations to understand production trends, cost drivers, and efficiency opportunities, supporting margin analysis and forecasting
- Assist with budgeting processes and standard cost updates, ensuring alignment between financial plans and operational activity
- Ensure inventory accounting is compliant with U.S. GAAP and support execution of SOX controls related to cost accounting and inventory
- Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of inventory records
- Prepare audit-ready documentation and support external audit processes, including responding to inquiries related to inventory and cost accounting
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Support system enhancements and standardization efforts across ERP and reporting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
