What You’ll Do
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Prepare and manage client billings, including progress billing and retainage.
- Maintain accurate project records in the accounting system, including Sage Intacct or a similar ERP platform.
- Support Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition processes.
- Reconcile project accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Partner with Project Managers on budgets, change orders, and cost projections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to projects.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, financial controls, and company policies.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, WIP reporting, progress billing, retainage, and change order management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Excel required.
