The position offers excellent visibility across the organization and the opportunity to make an immediate impact while partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain standard costing for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Perform manufacturing variance analysis, including PPV, labor, and overhead variances.
- Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventory, and obsolescence.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the month-end close.
- Analyze manufacturing performance and provide actionable insights to Operations and Finance.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering on costing and process improvements.
- Support ERP improvements and costing system enhancements.
- Assist with external audits and SOX/internal control requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve costing processes, reporting, and overall efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with full cost roll-ups and standard costing.
- Experience with materials, labor, overhead, PPV, inventory, and obsolescence.
- Strong understanding of BOMs, routings, labor standards, and overhead allocation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Strong communication and business partnering skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both Finance and Operations.
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately once per year.
