CFO

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a local organization in their search for a CFO in the Portland, Maine area. If you are outside of the Maine area, you must have a tie to the area of some form, will not entertain anyone with no direct ties to the Main area.

The ideal candidate will bring significant senior finance leadership experience within a complex operating environment, along with a strong mix of strategic, operational, and hands-on financial expertise. Must have international and mergers and acquisitions experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all areas of finance, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, controls, and compliance
• Provide financial insights, reporting, and recommendations to support executive decision-making
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals
• Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and operational metrics
• Oversee planning processes including capital allocation and resource management
• Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement
• Support acquisition activity, due diligence, and post-close integration efforts
• Manage financial operations across multiple entities and regions
• Maintain relationships with lenders, banking partners, and outside advisors

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience within a mid-sized to large organization
• Background in operationally focused industries such as manufacturing or related industries
• Experience supporting acquisitions and business integrations
• Strong ERP and financial systems experience
• Experience managing multi-site or international finance operations
• Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, controls, and compliance
