CFO

Chief Financial Officer (West of Boston)

$200 - $250K, plus bonus (Fully Onsite)

A growing construction services company is seeking a hands-on CFO to help scale the business into a national footprint. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands construction from the ground up and can balance aggressive growth with strong financial discipline.

We’re looking for someone comfortable in the field, partnering closely with operations, and working alongside ownership that embraces calculated risk.

The Role

• Lead all accounting and finance operations across multiple entities
• Own cash flow management across several operating companies
• Deliver consolidated reporting and actionable insights to leadership
• Oversee monthly close, ensuring timely and accurate financials
• Manage banking relationships, debt covenants, and surety/bonding capacity
• Partner with operations on forecasting, capital planning, and job profitability
• Ensure accurate job costing, WIP reporting, and billing practices
• Oversee A/R, A/P, tax filings, and internal controls across the organization
• Support annual financial statements in partnership with external auditors
  
  

What They’re Looking For

• 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior-level roles
• Strong background in construction or utility contracting environments
• Deep expertise in job costing, WIP, and multi-entity structures
• Experience in $25M–$100M revenue organizations
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
• Leadership style that thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
