Accounts Receivable Specialist

KBW is partnered with a growing organization in the Portland Maine Metro area that is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to help manage billing and receivables across multiple areas of the business. This role is responsible for ensuring timely invoices, accurate revenue recording, and proactive collections efforts.

This role will be onsite to start with hybrid flexibility once trained up. The compensation range is $58,000 - $65,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, including maintaining schedules and supporting reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit accurate invoices for contracted services and funded programs, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Maintain account records, post payments, and address billing inquiries professionally.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and perform timely follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Apply and reconcile payments (check, ACH, wire, etc.) to appropriate accounts.
• Partner with internal teams to gather billing support and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Reconcile receivables to the general ledger and provide regular aging and collection status reports.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing or Collections.
• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
