Accounting Manager

KBW is partnered with a client in the Portsmouth, NH area in their search for an Accounting Manager. This is a high impact role that will focus on both implementing new systems and day-to-day accounting ownership.

The compensation range for this opportunity is $100,000 - $130,000

Responsibilities

• Support and lead accounting-related system projects, including setup, configuration, and ongoing improvements
• Work cross-functionally to ensure financial data is accurately captured and reported
• Develop and maintain accounting processes, documentation, and workflows
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements and related reporting
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Analyze financial results and provide insight into variances and trends
• Maintain internal controls and support compliance efforts
• Partner with external parties on audit and tax-related activities
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting function
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6 years of relevant accounting experience, including some leadership or ownership of processes
• Experience working with accounting systems and general ledger structures
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting and close processes
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
• CPA preferred but not required
