KBW Financial is seeking an Accounting Manager for a growing biotech in the Boston area. This role will be responsible for GL accounting, GAAP and technical accounting matters, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting support. Hybrid 3 days per week in office. Additional details include:
- GL accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, accruals (R&D and clinical), and account recons
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for key accounts
- Support timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Implementing new processes and systems
- SOX compliance and internal controls
- Coordinate external auditors
- Oversee one or more accountants
- Ad-hoc projects as required
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 4 years experience including public accounting
- Biotech industry experience
- Familiarity with R&D accruals, clinical trial accounting, and SOX a plus
- GAAP compliance experience
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced Excel
