What You’ll Be Doing
- Running pre- and post-contract cost management duties across a variety of schools projects.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Preparing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed cost plans – your numbers need to be rock solid.
- Leading procurement and tendering, including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and contract administration.
- Producing monthly cost reports and presenting them directly to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Interfacing with project teams, contractors, and consultants at all project stages.
This role suits a driven QS who’s got the technical ability but also the confidence and presence to work closely with high-level clients.
Must-haves:
- Degree-qualified as a minimum.
- QS consultancy background
- Experience working property related projects
- Strong commercial acumen – you know how to manage risk and drive value for clients.
- Proficiency in CostX or similar cost management software.
- AIQS or MRICS accreditation (highly regarded but not essential).
- Someone who can juggle multiple projects, deliver to tight deadlines, and still keep a level head.
- The projects – work with private and governments clients to deliver top class education spaces for kids in NSW
- Client exposure – direct interface with senior stakeholders.
- Career growth – genuine opportunities to progress to Associate quickly.
