Position Summary
Customer Service Representative will interact with the Utilities’ Customers by addressing inquires and resolving complaints.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with customers via telephone, email, and online chat to provide support and information to obtain information from the customer. Perform the following clerical functions to service the customers’ needs:
- Sign new tenants
- Disconnect old tenants
- Handle apartment (LVON) when assigned
- Billing inquiries including rates
- Transfer of tenants to new address
- Maintain premise data
- Maintain tenant data
- Initiate reinstatement of service
- Fields customer questions and complaints to ensure the appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer problems and concerns. *
- Determine on certain new services the amount of deposit required for the customer. *
- Receive customer request pertaining to past due accounts: set up payment arrangements using the company policy/process. *
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned. *
- Denotes essential functions of the position.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Three years of customer service experience is required
- Call Center work experience is preferred
- Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of Customer Information System
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
