We are seeking an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead construction oversight on major transportation and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with all requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and mentor inspection and field staff
● Oversee construction activities for roads, bridges, and related infrastructure
● Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
● Ensure quality control, compliance, and adherence to contract documents
● Manage schedules, budgets, and project deliverables
● Facilitate pre-construction and progress meetings
● Review contractor pay estimates and resolve field/design issues
● Monitor traffic control and materials testing activities
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
● Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
● 15 years of relevant engineering experience
● Proven experience as a Resident Engineer on transportation projects
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
