Leadership Role

Build the Safety Culture of Tomorrow

Are you a highly strategic, yet hands-on Safety Leader ready to drive transformational change?

We are seeking a proactive Safety Manager to take ownership of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance at our growing industrial mill and conversion plant located near Natchez, MS.

This is a critical leadership opportunity where you will move beyond mere compliance to design, promote, and fully implement a world-class safety culture across the entire site.

This role is ideal for a professional who is comfortable operating in both the production environment and the leadership team—assessing programs, shaping new EHS systems, and fostering accountability at every level of the organization.

What You Will Deliver:

· Strategy & Improvement: Evaluate existing safety practices and collaborate with site leadership to design and execute impactful, sitewide EHS improvement strategies.

· Culture Leadership: Lead by example on the mill and conversion plant floor, actively coaching teams, reinforcing safe work behaviors, and driving operational accountability.

· Risk Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive inspections, risk assessments, and targeted audits to proactively identify and eliminate hazards.

· Incident Management: Lead thorough incident investigations, analyze key trends, and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

· Program Ownership: Oversee and continuously optimize high-risk safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Emergency Response, and Fire Protection systems.

· Integration: Partner directly with Operations Managers to fully integrate safety into all production processes, performance metrics, and operational goals.

· Environmental Support: Support site-level environmental compliance, regulatory recordkeeping, and accurate reporting requirements.

What You Bring:

· Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of progressive safety leadership experience within a heavy manufacturing, mill, or similar industrial environment.

· Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of OSHA standards and comprehensive EHS management systems.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent combination of experience and professional certifications).

· Influence: Exceptional communication and motivational skills, with a proven ability to successfully influence and drive behavioral change across all organizational levels.

· Approach: A proactive, visible, and culture-driven philosophy towards industrial safety management.

Why Join Our Team?

· Impact: A leadership role with the scope to design, promote, and implement the safety culture of the future—not just maintain the status quo.

· Compensation: Highly competitive base salary ranging from $90,000 – $130,000.

· Growth: Comprehensive benefits and significant potential for long-term career advancement within our expanding operation.
