Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. This role involves working on diverse roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs, contributing to the overall integrity and aesthetics of residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles.
- Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify necessary repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, sealing, and waterproofing roofs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required during the installation or repair processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety on the job site.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to roofing tasks.
- Experience with concrete forming, fabrication, trim carpentry, stucco application, and metal stud framing is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
- Strong understanding of restoration techniques and maintenance person skills is a plus.
- Knowledge of plumbing or tile laying can be beneficial for certain projects.
