Position Overview
K&K Interiors is seeking a highly creative, hands‑on Visual Merchandising Director to lead the design, planning, and execution of our multi‑city showroom environments. This role is responsible for shaping the visual identity of the brand across all showrooms, driving product presentation strategy, and partnering directly with ownership to elevate the customer experience to the next level.
The ideal candidate is a visionary creative leader with deep experience in interior styling, showroom design, merchandising strategy, and team leadership. This person will serve as the day‑to‑day owner of the visual department, ensuring consistent execution, strong planning, and year‑round readiness for major seasonal resets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Showroom Design — Own the creative direction, layout, and visual storytelling for showrooms in Sandusky, Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, and any possible future showrooms.
- Seasonal Concepting — Develop seasonal themes, color stories, and product groupings for holiday, spring, home, and specialty categories.
- Art Direction — Partner with the photography team to ensure product styling aligns with brand standards and showroom direction.
- Team Leadership — Manage, mentor, and schedule a rotating team of stylists, freelancers, and seasonal staff.
- Project Planning — Oversee pull lists, product prep, staging, and room‑by‑room execution for large‑scale showroom builds.
- New Product Launch & Sample Selection — Review seasonal samples, evaluate how new items fit into showroom concepts, and recommend products for inclusion in the twice‑annual line launch.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work closely with ownership, product development, photography, and operations to ensure alignment on timelines and priorities.
- Quality & Brand Standards — Maintain a consistent, elevated aesthetic that reflects K&K’s reputation for high‑value home décor and furniture.
- Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and visual impact across all showrooms.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in visual merchandising, interior design, art direction, or related creative fields.
- Proven experience designing or managing large‑format showroom environments (10k–30k sq ft preferred).
- Strong ability to concept, plan, and execute complex visual projects with tight timelines.
- Experience leading and developing creative teams.
- High level of taste, style, and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel for showroom builds and seasonal resets.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable partnering directly with ownership.
