Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Construction

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee water/wastewater construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will bring strong operational discipline, integrity, and a collaborative leadership style. This person will work closely with owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead water/wastewater construction projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, vendors, material deliveries, and project resources
- Partner with owners, engineers, architects, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and regulatory compliance
- Oversee adherence to local, state, and federal building codes and project requirements
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and project delivery
- Ensure job site safety standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
- 5 years of field construction or project management experience
- Experience in water/wastewater, heavy civil, municipal, infrastructure, or general contracting environments preferred
- 3 years of direct client-facing project leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage projects through pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with scheduling software required
- Familiarity with SAGE 100 Construction Management software is a plus
