BUSINESS CENTER MANAGER PHX

Position Summary
The Business Center Manager oversees the overall performance and success of the Phoenix distribution center, including operations, financial management, business growth, workforce leadership, and compliance. This role ensures efficiency, profitability, and exceptional service while maintaining strong client relationships and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
•    Oversee daily operations, including receiving inbound customer line hauls, sortation, staging, routing, driver recruitment and final mile delivery utilizing non-assest/non-employee capacity.
•    Implement strategies and utilize experience to maximize efficiency, productivity, and service quality to exceed JW Logistics and customer KPIs.
Financial Management
•    Manage P&L performance, track and approve payroll, variable expenses, and ensure consistent profitability and be able to scale temp labor and capacity daily weekly and seasonally.
•    Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue, operating costs, and margins.
•    Identify and coordinate with counterparts cost-saving opportunities including best use of facility without sacrificing service quality.
Business Growth & Strategy
•    Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and exceed Net Promoter Score/Customer Satisfaction Score to provide our customer’s clients with fantastic buying experience
•    Identify new opportunities for growth through services offerings and expanding service area for new and existing clients
•    Collaborate with senior sales leadership to support customer acquisition, launch of service and growth of customer’s store growth or client base.
Workforce Management
•    Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, warehouse, admin/office, and dispatch staff to support multiple functions for B2B and B2C customers.
•    Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Ensure staff compliance with JW Logistics safety, operational, and customer service standards.
Customer Service & Client Relations
•    Serve as a primary contact for key clients and partners visiting the facility and join customers on store visits or complete driver ride behinds for home installation.
•    Ensure customer KPIs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded through weekly internal and external team meetings.
•    Utilize internal collaboration, customer feedback and performance metrics to refine services and processes.
Compliance & Safety
•    Ensure adherence by all employee, temp labor and onsite customer staff to all regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
•    Lead customer asset protection tours of facility and follow up with action items and recommendations.
•    Oversee and upgrade safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace and identify and address potential risks
Technology & Process Optimization
•    Leverage technology including artificial intelligence and automation to improve operational efficiency.
•    Maintain schedule of proactive maintenance on material handling equipment and facility fixtures.
•    Continuously refine and enhance logistics and distribution models to align labor and technology.
 

Qualifications
•    Experience managing operations, preferably in logistics, distribution, or related fields with an emphasis on final mile B2B (pool point) sort and delivery and white glove home delivery and installation.
•    Strong financial acumen, with proven ability to manage budgets and P&L.
•    Extensive leadership, communication, and client-relations skills.
•    Ability to establish and maintain exemplary internal customer service levels.
•    Proven ability to create and optimize business models to remain competitive within Arizona market.
Working Conditions
•    Fast-paced environment with potential shift variations with high volume during Holiday peak seasons.
•    Requires normal (corrected) vision and hearing.
•    Frequent keyboarding, office equipment use, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
•    Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions in fast paced environment.
•    Minimal travel (<10%).
 

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
