What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Account Manager position at JW LOGISTICS OPERATIONS LLC?
Position Summary
The Business Development Account Manager is responsible for driving a disciplined, recurring cadence of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with every JW Logistics customer. This role owns the scheduling calendar, builds and assembles customer-specific QBR presentations, and coordinates the internal participants required for each call. This is a coordination and enablement role — it is not a quota-carrying sales position and does not lead customer calls.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain a rolling 13-week (quarterly) QBR calendar covering
every JW Logistics customer.
• Schedule each QBR call, ensuring attendance from operations leadership,
account management/business development leadership, and business
center leadership relevant to that account.
• Assemble and finalize customized QBR slide decks for each customer,
including performance by market, action items and improvements, a JW
Logistics company/business update, and a forward-looking discussion of
relationship growth opportunities.
• Secure required inputs from other functions (e.g., operations, business
center managers, VPs of Operations, Brooks Ward) in time to complete
each deck ahead of the scheduled call.
• Set the agenda for each QBR: for accounts with an assigned Business
Development Manager, the BDM determines the agenda; for accounts
without an assigned salesperson, use a standardized general agenda to
ensure the account is still engaged consistently.
• Track and follow up on action items and commitments arising from QBRs.
• Flag newly identified opportunities (expansions, RFPs, new lines of
business) surfaced during QBRs to Bill Barker for direction on pursuit and
sales assignment.
• Partner with Brooks Ward to source the KPIs and performance data
specific to each customer for inclusion in QBR materials.
Prior experience within JW Logistics or the final-mile / B2B retail
fulfillment industry strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and project-coordination skills; comfortable
managing a recurring, multi-account calendar.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and ability to synthesize operational/financial
data into clear, customer-ready presentations.
• Use of Claude & AI tools to accelerate slide assembly, data synthesis, and
preparation for QBRs.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills; ability to secure timely input
from multiple internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a coordination/support capacity rather than a
quota-driven sales capacity.
Salary : $70,000
