JustinBradley’s client, a non-profit association relating to child advocacy and education is looking to add a Director of Human Resources to their team.
The Director of Human Resources reports to and works collaboratively with the Executive Director on the management, administration and execution of all human resources functions. As a one person department, this role will be hands-on and heavily collaborative with the leadership team. It will require strong technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Highlighted Responsibilities
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s human resources policies, procedures and practices.
- Ensures organizational compliance with federal, state and local laws and administrative requirements regarding personnel.
- Leads preparation and administration of the organization’s merit increase, performance management, wage and salary programs.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the Executive Director, on personnel matters.
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization, including compliance training and development.
- Identifies, communicates and aligns work with DEI values and commitments.
- Leads and manages hiring for the organization, including recruiting, onboarding and orientation.
- Acts as an employee relations resource for supervisors, management and employees.
- Manages employee benefits program including eligibility, annual open enrollment communications and election processes. May assist CFO in plan design and negotiation process.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business or related field is required.
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP) preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including recruiting, performance management, compliance, payroll, benefits administration, and other primary HR functions.
- Experience with remote/hybrid work environments and multi-jurisdictional compliance and best practices.
