Our client is seeking a a self-motivated, creative, and energetic Communications Specialist who will assist in the development and dissemination of collateral material, support communications requirements across functions, and support/maintain efforts to regularly inform members at all levels. This position will report to the Head of Finance and Administration, but will work closely with senior leadership across the organization, including risk, cyber and intelligence team leads.
*4 days onsite to McLean, VA*
Job Responsibilities
Salary: Up to 100k

Job Responsibilities
- Refine and maintain communications channels and tactics to ensure members’ and employees’ awareness of news, activities, and events
- Create informative newsletters and other materials useful for the organization’s members and employees
- Support planning and execution of events as needed
- Ensuring company website remains up-to-date and contribute to modernization efforts
- Manage ad-hoc speaking opportunities for members of the leadership team
- Develop and maintain collateral and external presentations
- Coordinate with senior leadership team to develop presentation and related materials for board meetings
- Coordinate with graphic design firm to produce collateral as necessary
- Maintain Style Guide and slide templates and ensure correct branding of all products
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
- 3 years of experience in External and/or Internal Communications
- Current or previous financial services sector experience a plus but not required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to capture wider audience
- Ability to effectively engage with team members at all levels and across departments
- External and internal communications experience
- Experience in design of digital materials is preferred
- Experience creating executive-level presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
- Fast learner who is flexible and adaptable
- Diplomacy, tact, and discretion
