Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for preschool-aged children.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, promoting respectful interactions and self-regulation among children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs.
- Integrate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incidents.
- Supervise assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure effective classroom management and lesson delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques tailored for young learners.
- Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori or other educational philosophies such as standardized testing or literacy education methods is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Experience working with toddlers or in private school environments is advantageous.
