Overview
At Clark County Christian Preschool, we believe that every child is a precious creation of God, uniquely made to learn, grow, and flourish in His love. We are seeking a devoted Christian teacher with a tender heart and a passion for early childhood or elementary education to join us in "helping little hearts grow in God’s love together." This role is more than teaching—it’s a calling to shepherd young minds and nurture their spiritual, emotional, and academic development in a Christ-centered environment.

This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the growth and development of each student. The Teacher will work closely with students to enhance their academic skills while promoting social and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children.

Responsibilities

  • Model a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ in word and deed.
  • Lead students in daily prayer, Bible study, and worship.
  • Foster a classroom culture grounded in grace, kindness, and godly character.
  • Partner with families to support each child's walk with God.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, biblically integrated lessons that meet academic standards.
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning through engaging instruction.
  • Assess student progress and provide individualized support as needed.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the spiritual, academic, and emotional needs of students.
  • Create a warm, welcoming space where each child feels safe, loved, and valued.
  • Promote positive behavior and biblical conflict resolution.
  • Celebrate milestones, both big and small, as evidence of God’s work in their lives.
  • Work closely with fellow staff, administration, and parents to cultivate a strong, unified Christian school community.
  • Participate in faculty devotions, staff meetings, and school-wide worship or outreach events.
  • Encourage teamwork among students, emphasizing love, humility, and service.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards.
  • Create lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, including individualized instruction for students with special education requirements.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
  • Foster literacy education through engaging reading activities and early intervention strategies.
  • Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience, including tutoring in subjects such as math and physical education.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes an effective learning atmosphere.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in early childhood education or daycare environments.
  • Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood development principles.
  • Experience in special education or working with students requiring additional support is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus. We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about teaching and committed to making a difference in the lives of children to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Teacher.
