Health Systems Clinical Specialist Jr.

J P Systems provides professional services for large Federal Healthcare IT projects. Responsibilities of the Health Systems Clinical Specialist Jr.:
- Leverage clinical and administrative expertise to support our Health Informatics project initiatives and client engagements.
- Support the technical and clinical project staff with communications and outreach tasks to Federal business partners.
- Collaborate with team leadership to develop and distribute weekly meeting agendas aligned with project priorities.
- Collect, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for project, contributing to dashboard development and ongoing performance tracking.
- Capture detailed meeting minutes and perform comprehensive facilitation of virtual clinical program meetings for our client projects.
- Must be highly organized and professional.
- Coordinate and manage project deliverables by collecting required materials and maintaining organized deliverables repositories.
- Support documentation efforts, including development and execution of project work instructions, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Design and deliver engaging high quality PowerPoint presentations using advanced formatting and visual design techniques in alignment with corporate branding standards.
- Conduct data collection, research, and analysis to support reporting, documentation, and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and manage meeting logistics including scheduling, rescheduling and canceling calls
- Ensure appropriate stakeholder participation and tracking action items to completion.
- Maintain MS Excel spreadsheets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Assess clinical and business stakeholder needs, aligning them with IT solutions, while identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate problem identification and solution development through structured and systematic approaches.
- Support clinical and operational objectives by contributing to the implementation of cost effective, technology-driven solutions.
- May be assigned to work on special Health Informatics projects
- Other duties as required
Project Requirements:
- Interpret Power BI metrics
- Gather, organize, and communicate requirements from data results.
- Seek and recommend process improvements
- Gain an understanding of Health Factors
- Clinical experience working with doctors.
- Excellent oral and written communications
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a clinical or Health Informatics project required for this role.
- 2 to 5 years' experience using Electronic Health Records systems. Oracle Health or Cerner Millennium is preferred.
- Strong virtual meeting facilitation and calendar management skills are essential.
- A background in healthcare or healthcare IT is required.
- Experience working with the Department of Veteran's Affairs is preferred.
- Proficient with MS O365, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Power BI is highly desired
- Personal effectiveness and credibility.
- Ethical Conduct is required.
- Strong application of computer skills for analyzing and interpreting data.
- Able to multitask and handle multiple priorities with a calm, positive attitude, and professional manner.
- Must be able to work with discretion and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-starter and be able to work with all types of personnel with a professional attitude.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be a technically savvy, highly self-motivated and independent worker.
- Must possess highly developed soft skills / people skills and a positive attitude.
Educational Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus 2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience is required in Clinical areas, such as nursing, or Business Administration, Health Informatics, Hospital Administration and Policy, or another related scientific discipline is required. A master's in health informatics is preferred.
Educational Equivalents:
An associate's degree plus 2 years' experience may be used as an equivalent to a BA degree or 4 years' experience may be used as an equivalent to a BA.
