Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care: Interprets physician prescriptions and develops individualized treatment plans.
Leadership: Directs and supervises Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), support staff, students, and volunteers.
Patient Management: Evaluates and documents patient progress while ensuring safety, welfare, and data confidentiality.
Collaboration: Provides input for staff performance evaluations and adheres to professional practice guidelines.
Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Experience: New graduates accepted; prior experience preferred.
Licensure: Current license from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Certification: CPR (American Heart Association).
Skills: Expert knowledge of the APTA Code of Ethics and excellent communication skills.
