Job Title: Quality Technician

Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 / Hour
Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM M-F
Overview
Industrial Manufacturing Company is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in Bridgeton, NJ!
Responsibilities
- Evaluate Sika products, raw materials, and intermediates for conformance to specifications, ensuring compliance with all Quality Assurance standards.
- Perform daily evaluation and approval of finished products, raw materials, and intermediates, including FPY / OAC and extended performance testing (7 days).
- Perform production line first-piece inspection and production floor spot checks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely reporting of results, preventing non-conforming products from shipping.
- Report and record all testing results promptly, maintaining detailed database entries and generating statistical analyses via computer and SAP.
- Communicate effectively, share information, and provide constructive feedback in a professional manner.
- Make notes on inspection plans and bring updates to R&D/Operations, including control limit shifts and additional testing requirements.
- Conduct tests timely and accurately, sign conforming reports, and alert management of non-conformances.
- Provide ideas for process improvements and identify deficiencies in laboratory procedures and specifications.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, calibrate, control, and maintain lab instruments.
- Analyze test results using Excel and input/update SAP quality information.
- Stay current with automation, technology, equipment, and software advancements.
- Provide timely results for non-routine samples, such as customer complaints.
- Perform minor maintenance and ensure good housekeeping of work area and equipment.
- Monitor process instructions and quality checks to ensure SOP compliance.
Requirements
- 3 years hands-on experience in a laboratory environment or QA/QC experience.
- ASTM/ISO experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage tasks and prioritize responsibilities for timely completion.
- Strong customer and quality focus.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
