About the Role:
The Chemical Line Operator I plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and monitoring chemical production lines to ensure efficient and safe production of chemical products. This position involves adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards to maintain product integrity and workplace safety. The operator will be responsible for setting up equipment, conducting routine inspections, and making adjustments to optimize production flow. Collaboration with maintenance and quality control teams is essential to promptly address any operational issues and minimize downtime. Ultimately, the role contributes to the consistent delivery of high-quality chemical products that meet regulatory and company standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of chemical manufacturing processes or prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a chemical line operator or in a similar production role.
- Familiarity with chemical safety standards such as OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with computerized production tracking systems or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical production line equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Adjust machine settings and control parameters to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Document production data, including batch records, equipment logs, and any deviations or incidents.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational knowledge and skills.
