What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator position at KIKKOMAN FOODS INC?
As a Manufacturing Operator, you will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating machinery, handling materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Please note operators are expected to efficiently carry out sanitation tasks, which include but are not limited to, the use of power washing equipment, floor cleaning, and various other duties such as rising with low-pressure hoses, squeegeeing, sump pump, scraping, sweeping, moping and dusting in confined spaces and entryways as needed. It is important to note that sanitation activities may create wet conditions for the operator. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available upon request for those who prefer to use while cleaning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment is highly preferred.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in environments that require frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
