Job Summary

The IOP Family Therapist is responsible for providing individual and family therapy services to adolescents ages 8-18 y/o in the IOP program. This position may also include assisting with providing group therapy services as needed for coverage. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

Schedule And Compensation

  • 4 day work week: Monday - Wednesday 11 AM - 9 PM and Thursday 11 AM - 8 PM OR Monday - Friday
  • $53,000 - $57,000 based on experience

Essential Responsibilities And Metrics

  • Facilitate individual, family and crisis sessions to a caseload of children adolescents and their caregivers.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed to aid with coverage.
  • Facilitate family support and psychoeducational groups.
  • Providing support to clients and family members to help promote achievement of treatment plan goals and encourage progress throughout program.
  • Providing education to family members about effective ways to support children and adolescents including following through with safety plans, encouraging implementation of skill use at home, increasing positive communication, addressing family dynamics, and creating home contracts that relate to behaviors/rules/expectations within the home environment. This could be provided through individual, family, group, support group sessions.
  • Coordinating with other team members to provide relevant clinical information from individual and family sessions to aid with supporting clients in group sessions
  • Communicating and coordinating with external providers as needed and assisting with creating effective discharge plans
  • Completing clinical documentation on a daily basis in CIS
  • Participating in weekly supervision, IOP Team Rounds and as needed consultation.
  • Achieving 50% productivity expectations with a caseload of IOP Family and outpatient caseload

Qualifications

  • Have two years post master’s family therapy experience (required)
  • Hold the following licenses or certifications: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (preferred)
  • Have prior experience working with children and adolescents in a partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred)
  • Fluent in Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) (preferred)
