Associate - Grocery

Position: Grocery Associate 

At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Grocery department is expected to be fully stocked, clean, and beautifully merchandised. Grocery Associates play a vital role in maintaining our reputation as the best gourmet grocer in town by ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.

Routine Tasks:

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions 


• Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks 


• Restock, organize, and rotate dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to maintain visual appeal and availability


• Package, label, and price self-service items accurately 


• Operate pallet jacks and carts to transport products from storage areas to the sales floor


• Assist with other tasks as assigned 

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age 


• Prior grocery, retail, or food industry experience preferred 


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 


• Basic math and reading skills 


• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation 


• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude 


• A passion for serving people 

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Primary work is performed in the Grocery department


• Requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods


• Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds


• Frequent interaction with customers and fellow employees
