Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices tied to construction projects, subcontractor agreements, and client contracts
- Communicate directly with project managers, vendors, and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments
- Maintain accurate records of collection activity, payment commitments, and dispute resolutions
- Collaborate with accounting and project teams to align billing schedules with job progress and contract terms
- Prepare aging reports and escalate delinquent accounts to leadership or legal when necessary
- Assist with lien filings, waiver tracking, and compliance documentation
- Support month-end close and reporting processes related to accounts receivable
Qualifications:
- 2 years of collections experience, ideally within construction, real estate, or project-based industries
- Familiarity with AIA billing, progress billing, and retainage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or QuickBooks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
