About the Role
This position supports plant operations by performing general utility tasks, assisting with equipment operation, basic maintenance activities, and ensuring safe and efficient facility operations in a cement production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain plant grounds, buildings, and work areas
- Operate and assist with mobile equipment and general plant machinery
- Support material unloading and handling operations
- Assist maintenance teams with basic mechanical tasks
- Perform routine inspections and report operational or safety concerns
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Support housekeeping and site organization activities
- Perform assigned duties based on operational needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation or industrial environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including shifts if required
- Basic computer skills (preferred)
Safety Requirement
This role requires compliance with respiratory protection standards. Where respirators are required, candidates must pass fit testing to ensure proper sealing. In accordance with OSHA/MSHA safety requirements, this may require being clean-shaven in areas where the respirator contacts the face.
