Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Quality Control Technician II to perform advanced quality control testing on ready mix concrete and aggregates in both laboratory and field environments. This role involves working closely with customers, plant operators, and internal teams to ensure all products meet required quality standards, while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory and field sampling and testing of ready mix concrete and aggregates.
- Conduct standard and advanced tests (slump, air content, unit weight, compressive strength, sieve analysis, etc.).
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve product consistency.
- Provide technical support and resolve customer quality concerns at job sites.
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair testing equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
- Accurately record and report test results; maintain databases and prepare technical reports.
- Support development and implementation of quality control procedures and material control plans.
- Educate customers and internal teams on proper handling and application of materials.
- Maintain detailed logs of production conditions, testing, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in ready mix concrete or aggregate quality control.
- Ability to travel to work sites (up to 40%).
- Strong understanding of testing procedures and quality standards.
- Good documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
