Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Quality Control Technician II responsible for conducting field and laboratory testing of construction materials to ensure product specifications are met. This role supports mix design development, maintains quality standards, and collaborates with production and project teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in materials performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect samples from job sites and batch plants for testing
- Perform laboratory and field quality control tests on concrete and aggregates
- Analyze, record, and report test results accurately to stakeholders
- Assist in mix design development, optimization, and maintenance
- Support specification reviews and preparation of mix design submittals
- Troubleshoot quality issues and support customer-related concerns
- Maintain test records and databases for compliance and reporting
- Optimize material usage through innovative mix designs and cost efficiencies
- Collaborate with plant teams and project stakeholders to ensure quality standards
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Associate’s degree required
- Preferred field: Construction Management or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction materials testing or quality control
- Certifications such as ACI and/or NRMCA preferred
- Strong knowledge of ASTM standards and concrete testing procedures
- Familiarity with industry tools and systems (e.g., MS Office, SAP, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
Additional Requirements
- Understanding of industry specifications and testing procedures for concrete and aggregates
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
