About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor – Cement on behalf of one of our clients to lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities within a cement plant. This role focuses on maximizing equipment availability, ensuring safety compliance, and driving maintenance excellence through effective planning, supervision, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Conduct systematic and non-systematic inspections of plant equipment
- Analyze maintenance data, work orders, and process performance to define maintenance plans
- Initiate and manage detailed maintenance work orders and scope of work
- Apply precision maintenance techniques such as laser alignment and dynamic balancing
- Oversee welding and repair practices for industrial equipment
- Maintain and monitor equipment history and performance data
- Track and improve equipment reliability, cost efficiency, and lifecycle performance
- Support spare parts planning and inventory optimization
- Lead maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines
- Develop long-term maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives
- Ensure quality assurance of maintenance work and materials
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance, purchasing, and operations teams
- Lead problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Supervise contractors and maintenance personnel
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance and professionalism
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and resolve operational issues
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- OR
- 5–7 years of equivalent experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the cement or heavy industry sector
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience with precision maintenance tools (laser alignment, balancing)
- Knowledge of welding techniques and industrial repair practices
- Understanding of maintenance planning, reliability, and asset management
