Job Summary:
Cherokee Federal is a trusted partner for over 60 federal clients, focused on solving complex challenges and serving the government’s mission. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact for contract performance, ensuring quality work is completed on schedule and managing personnel effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of contract performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, policies, and procedures outlined in the PWS.
• Serve as the primary liaison with CO, COR, government management, and customer representatives.
• Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, and supervise contractor personnel.
• Develop and maintain a Project Management Plan (PMP) including task breakdowns, staffing, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. Maintain the PMP as a living document.
• Submit Monthly Status Reports (MSR) detailing activities, deliverables, issues, resolutions, employee allocations, clearance levels, and task order accounting.
• Prepare and submit Problem Notification Reports (PNR) for any schedule delays or contractual issues within two business days of discovery, including resolution plans.
• Ensure a stable, trained, and proficient workforce; provide necessary training and guidance to maintain readiness.
• Ensure work coverage during normal duty hours and compliance with business attire requirements and DoD/DHRA operational instructions.
• Assess information-sharing patterns and recommend process improvements to enhance end-user experience and data transfer.
• Participate in the Post-Award Conference, preparing a written summary within three business days.
• Facilitate quarterly contract management review meetings to evaluate performance and discuss issues, following government-provided formats.
• Use the government task request workflow tool to manage, assign, and track work, ensuring task scope aligns with contract requirements.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Prior Department of Defense (DoD) experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience managing federal contracts, with at least 3 years in a DoD environment
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage schedules, personnel, and deliverables in complex environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and task management tools
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
