Responsibilities
- Manage all project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Perform cost accounting tasks, including analyzing costs, preparing financial statements, and developing cost-effective strategies.
- Oversee construction contracts, ensuring compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Utilize SAGE or equivalent software for financial management and reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on financial status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, cost accounting, and construction contracts.
- Proficiency in SAGE or equivalent accounting software.
- Strong understanding of construction industry financial practices and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
