We are seeking a seasoned, strategic Senior Operations Manager - Bedding to direct plant production, optimize manufacturing workflows, and oversee plant operations in Tupelo, Mississippi, United States. You will take operational accountability for mattress and bedding production lines, implementing Lean manufacturing methodologies, reducing scrap, and leading multi-shift plant teams to achieve world-class safety, efficiency, and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all daily operations, safety protocols, and production schedules across the bedding manufacturing facility.
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant supervisors, line leaders, and production personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and waste reduction programs across mattress assembly lines.
- Manage facility operational budgets, scrap reduction targets, and plant operating P&L metrics.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to maintain peak equipment uptime.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive manufacturing operations management experience, preferably in bedding, foam, or furniture.
- Strong expertise in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and automated production environments.
- Demonstrated success leading large plant teams and driving operational KPIs and safety culture.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication, financial acumen, and leadership capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
