We are looking for a motivated Certification Engineer I to support regulatory compliance, testing, and product certification for life safety and electronic control systems in Northford, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate product certification activities with third-party testing laboratories (e.g., UL, FM, CE, FCC).
• Review product schematics, bills of materials, and mechanical construction for compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare technical compliance documentation, construction files, and agency submittal packages.
• Assist engineering teams in resolving compliance non-conformances during prototype and production stages.
• Maintain organized records of active agency listings, factory follow-up procedures, and certification updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience with an interest in product compliance, safety standards, or regulatory affairs.
• Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., UL 864, UL 62368-1, NFPA, or CE directives) is a strong plus.
