About the role
Join a fast-paced fabrication and prototype shop supporting engineering teams with rapid custom builds, modifications, and low-cost prototype solutions. This role is critical in delivering high-quality fabricated components to meet evolving technical project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal fabrication and TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
- Program and/or operate CNC turret punch press and CNC press brake equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings / blueprints to fabricate custom parts accurately
- Assemble components, chassis, and install hardware using fabrication equipment
- Cut materials using shears, saws, torches, and other shop tools
- Maintain shop equipment, follow safety protocols, and wear required PPE
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in a sheet metal / machine shop OR trade school training in welding/sheet metal
- Hands-on experience with TIG welding, press brakes, punch machines, rollers, and shears
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools (calipers, tape measure, scales)
- Ability to read blueprints / fabrication drawings
- US Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance eligibility
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
- Estimated hourly range: $30–$40/hr (W-2).
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
Salary : $30 - $40
