About the role
Join a manufacturing and laboratory support team responsible for hands-on calibration and preventative maintenance activities within an FDA-regulated environment. This role focuses on calibrating laboratory and manufacturing equipment, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting equipment reliability initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on calibration experience with small laboratory or manufacturing instruments in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on calibration activities on controlled laboratory and manufacturing equipment
- Support preventative maintenance activities for instruments and equipment
Calibrate equipment such as:
- Pressure gauges
- Incubators
- Temperature monitoring devices
- Similar laboratory/manufacturing instruments
- Maintain electronic calibration scheduling databases
- Review and maintain calibration and preventative maintenance documentation
- Enter calibration data and maintain equipment records accurately
- Coordinate with external vendors for calibration and maintenance services
- Ensure proper calibration status labeling of equipment
- Maintain compliance with FDA and internal quality requirements
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on calibration experience
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment
- Experience calibrating small instruments and laboratory/manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of calibration processes and equipment compliance requirements
Experience working in:
- Manufacturing environments
- Laboratory environments
- Cleanroom environments
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and compliance awareness
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting preventative maintenance activities
- Experience maintaining electronic calibration databases
- Experience working in medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments
- Experience coordinating calibration vendors and service providers
Compensation
- Estimated hourly range: $35/hr (W-2)
- Final rate will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift | Approx. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Work Location: 100% Onsite
- Contract Duration: 6 Months (Strong Temp-to-Perm Potential)
