Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Division Order Analyst. The position provides technical support to the Land department, including preparation and monitoring suspense revenues, analyzing interest issues and assists in owner and well set-up.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup revenue decks for owners and wells. Work closely with Accounting to resolve any problems with interests being paid and ensure that revenue decks are set up accurately.
- Maintain interdepartmental reports and monitor releasing of suspense revenues. Revenue Suspense Report shall be updated monthly to track work performed to release suspended revenues. Operations Spreadsheet shall be updated as division order title opinions are received and transmitted. Other reports as required by management.
- Continue to clean up wells with interest issues. Clean up of old problems, temporary suspense and owner suspense.
- Maintain and update the well master list which is used by all departments. This list currently consists of over 1300 properties.
- Correspond with interest owners in a manner that develops and maintains good will.
- Maintain and update group codes for all wells in Accounting system, set up new wells and/or prospects. Maintain and update general information for wells in SSI.
- Notify Revenue Accounting and Joint Interest Billing to insure correct revenue and billing distribution.
- Revenue review at end of month for new distributions and for corrections that may be needed.
- Yearly audit with Grant Thornton – pull well files for well deck walk thru and furnish supporting documents. Answer any questions that may arise.
- Ensure that production revenue is received quickly and consistently for all producing wells. Provide ownership information to purchasers and operators. Take appropriate action to resolve ownership problems when advised by Accounting, Engineering, or other departments that revenue is not being received or is in error.
- Train and supervise Division Order assistant in tasks and reports, including SSI system setup and changes.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years with Oil and Gas experience that includes analysis of mineral ownership and title curative required. Proficient Microsoft 365 experience required. An applicant must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the knowledge of necessary software and computer applications.
